DA Casting
Fashion casting direction, based in Paris. A craft of the eye: finding the right presence, the one that carries an image.
Casting comes before the image. Before the light, before the garment, there is the choice of a face, its singularity, its way of inhabiting the frame. That choice sets the tone of a campaign, an editorial, a collection.
The method holds in one gesture: the board. Faces are gathered, confronted, moved until the obvious appears. This site is its extension, a living board, recomposed by hand.
The work happens in dialogue with art directors, photographers and houses, across fashion and editorial.
